This is Joel boldly doing what too few leaders choose to do especially in a season where we are tempted to be more “near sighted” with our organizational vision than ever before.

He’s standing in front of his team, clearly communicating the 10 year target 🎯 for his church, Bachelor Creek, to aim for as they live out their mission in their community.

Heres the thing…

When churches and their leaders commit to being led of the Spirit AND being committed to a strategy … the reality of actually being and staying on mission is enhanced.

And, heres the other thing…

When the challenges of leadership move from maintaining and preserving to changing and thriving, the stakes are immediately raised and the heat is rapidly turned up. This means “organizational empathy” must be on full display.

Oh…one more thing…

This is the team at Bachelor Creek Church in Indiana. The church’s story began in 1845. Yes, you read that right.

For almost 180 years this church has season where they thrived, others where they merely survived, but still they remain.

Today they reset through our Strategic Momentum Process to set a course forward for the next 10 years.

What “was” we celebrated, what “is” we leaned into, and what “can be” we stepped out in faith to trust what may be possible. Excited for Growmentum and our ongoing partnership with Joel and his team!

One of the greatest responsibilities of leaders is to be willing to face reality.
